What this course will bring you
There are many powerful ways for groups to learn together and design meaningful strategies.
You might be familiar with methods like Theory of Change, Impact Pathways, Design Thinking, Theory U, or Deep Democracy.
The five Liberating Structures that you will experience in this course don’t replace those methods. Instead, they act as building blocks. You can plug them into any of these approaches to make your meetings more participatory, more energising, and more effective.

During the session, we will share more about the work of Keith McCandless and Henri Lipmanowicz, who developed the Liberating Structures. The full repertoire of 32 Liberating Structures works equally well online and in physical settings.

- Throughout the session, you will work individually, in small breakout groups, and we all use the chat a lot.
- After the workshop, you will receive a handout summarizing all five Liberating Structures we used, so you can easily revisit and apply them in the future.
